5065 R4 Rosalene Stylized Cat
Fenton rosalene stylized cat. Honor Collection 2002. Limited to 2750.
From the 2002 Fenton catalog:
Strictly Limited and Numbered
Our 2002 Honor collection is a tribute to former Fenton Chemist Charley Goe who began to develop Rosalene glass for us in the 1960's. Frank M. Fenton was inspired to create a new color that was similar to an antique glass known as Pink Slag, and together with Charley worked on several different formulas before achieving the first breakthrough in 1972. After much refinement a winner emerged and Rosalene was introduced in 1976.
The secret to Rosalene is the pure gold in the formula which enables the glass to become a lovely pink wherever it has been cooled and then reheated in the forming process.”
”Trailing Floral on Rosalene
Colorful stylized flowers on blush rose are framed in a cascade of heart-shaped leaves and tiny berries in Fenton artist Diane Gessel's enticing design.”
Measures approximately 5 inches tall.
