Beautiful Fenton marbleized wave crest box. Made for the 1992 Connoisseur Collection. Limited to 1250.
From the 1992 Fenton June supplement:
”Marbleized Box
The Wave Crest box has been designed by Frances Burton to capture the look of the Kelva marked Waved Crest ware produced by C. F. Monroe around 1904. Opal glass is covered with a marbleized lustre and fired. An enameled floral "Poppy and Daisy" is then applied and refired. The finishing touch is a delicate antique brass band.”
Measures approximately 4 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches wide.
The gold paint is starting to crack in some places. Shown in photos.
